If we had this at home, my mom will never leave her room.

I was watching inside edition this morning on the etc channel when they featured a story about a guinea pig the size of a German Shepard. Apparently this monster rodent is called a Capybara, the largest living species of rodent in the world. It's okay to have rodents as pets such as a hamster and guinea pig. But one that is big enough to eat your 2 year old son is just kinda creepy. And scary. Not that i oppose this kind of species but i just find it odd to find a big hamster-like thing moving around the house snooping around for stuff to eat. If we had one here, my mom would probably not leave her room our go out as much as possible from the house.

Even i think it's pretty scary. The picture above portrays one pet owner of the Capybara. As you can see by its size, this one is probably about 4 feet long. According to Wikipedia, they weigh up to 145 pounds for females and 135 for males (Yes, the females are heavier). The largest ever recorded weighed up to 232 pounds. That's twice my weight! And it's a rodent!

Though it would be pretty cool to have this as a pet. Then again, my pet hamster didn't even last 3 weeks. Thank God it's a herbivore. For a meat-eating monster sized rodent like that is just pretty scary. But to one that is very loyal to you? One word. AWESOME.
